FLAME teaches middle school students across North Texas how to budget, invest and plan for retirement. Every class is free and taught by DECA competition winners and YIS mentors.

01 · About FLAME

Making money make sense.

FLAME (Financial Literacy Advocates for Money Education) is a 501(c) nonprofit that teaches middle school students in North Texas the basics of budgeting, smart investing and retirement planning.

So far, we've helped over 200 students through classes at around 12 community centers and schools.

Yes. All FLAME classes are completely free of charge.

In-person classes are available through enrollment with our partner organizations. Our online program, the StarSpace Initiative, is open for enrollment until October 10, 2026.
